I purchased a phone from Motorola through Amazon for $199 within 1yr the microphone broke. I contacted Motorola and sent my phone in to the company within the 1 year manufacturer warranty, they acknowledged it was in fact a manufacturer defect and replaced my phone with a new on. Six months later the microphone on my phone broke again, I called in to ask about it being replaced since it clearly is a manufacturer defect and they refused saying it was outside of warranty. I spoke with the Warranty Dept and was transferred to Central Control where I spoke with Anthony. They offered me a 25 percent discount off a replacement phone. To sum it up they replaced my defective phone with another defective phone then claimed it was outside of warranty and that I would have to pay them more money on top of the $199 I already paid. I purchased this phone for my sister who also experienced the same issue with her phone, she did not go through Motorola she went through the insurance plan and was refunded, she purchased a different phone. Three out of three phones have had the same issue Motorola claims that this is not a known issue.
