On 4/07/2022, I did an online search for Mossberg guns. Was directed to MossbergHotDeals.com in Sunnyvale, CA. Website looked legitimate, as it had 82 Mossberg items, detailed information as to each product and testimonies from supposed satisfied customers. I made a purchase, and received confirmation by email, with an order number and instructions on how to make the $279 payment via Zelle to a Patrick Briggs, as they did not accept credit cards. There were several other online payment options available, some of which I was not familiar with.

Their website stated that the order would be shipped within 48 hours of confirming payment and included free shipping. I was asked to send confirmation from my bank, which I did but I did not receive a reply that my order would be shipped. I emailed Patrick Briggs several times, also using the online form requesting a phone number to contact him directly but never received a reply. In checking my Wells Fargo account today (4/19/2022), I saw that he had unregistered as a Zelle recipient. Unfortunately, I am out the $279 with no way to contact him either by phone or address. Buyer beware!!
