Received email order confirmation. The email had just basic transaction information w/o any Mossberg logo or other company contact on the information. Of note, the receipt said that payments had to be made through Zelle and that I would be receiving information from Zelle by text or email.
I was contacted by text message the next morning ("Hello would you like to complete your Mossberg gun shop order?") He didn't identify himself as being with Zelle or Mossberg. I downloaded Zelle app, it only takes debit cards, som I couldn't complete the transaction. He gave me instructions how to use PayPal to transfer the money to Zelle as "family and friends". "Don't mention anything about guns," he told me. At that point I ended the conversation and immediately cancelled my credit card. Oh, didn't I mention that? YES, yes, I gave him my credit card info.
Called the phone# connected w/ the text as well as a phone number on an alternative website, but there was no identification on the other end about mosshandguns or Mossberg Gun Shop; my calls went directly to voicemail.
