Needed roof and home repairs done, roofing company referred us to Modern Construction. On July 25, 2023 Seth met with my daughter and myself at the house and gave us a bid for fixing the foundation, and repairing a back porch that was sagging. We paid him $13,729.97 at that time to start the project. By August 15, 2023 the foundation was completed, and Seth started work on the back porch, took out windows, doors, siding and raised sagging floor. To fix hole in foundation they had cut a hole in the floor of the front porch, and instead of repairing hole they ripped up all of that flooring. So by August 18th we had given them another $12,500 to pay for the "foundation". Then they board up the front and the back porch while they waited for a custom door to arrive to fit the back door opening. We picked up that door on September 12, 2023 and despite frequent calls, texts, and emails Seth has never returned. Via texts he did give us different days that he would return, the last one being October 2, 2023, but he was a no show and is not answering his phone, and texts are vague. Since winter is approaching we had another contractor here in Twin Falls give us a bid, and he reported that nothing that has been completed will meet code and they will have to basically undo everything and start over.
