I received a text from the E A saying that he is a recruiter for Mnemo Therapeutics from the number provided for data entry representative and administrative assistant. He said the interview will be done online via text (instant message) because the company head board in-charge of review will be viewing our conversations to give a verdict and determine my status. He asked me to download the Telegram application and contact N Z. Once N was contacted, he said he is the hiring manager and will be doing the interview. Some interview questions were asked and was later hired for the position. He said I will be received my offer letter and other documentation the next day. I received the documents and he asked me to fill them and send it back to the email. I provided my ID (Canadian passport), filled W-9 form which included my SSN and a void cheque. Once this was done, he told me the company will be sending me a cheque to pay for the equipment required for this remote position. He was staying in touch with me on the weekends too for no work purposes. I later went online and searched telegram interview data entry and a few stories came up showing that such interviews are a scam. I sent an email to HR found on the company's website and they said they did not send any of these messages.
