On October 13, 2016 I received a telephone call at where I am employed stating that I owed money for a past credit card debt. I was told if I made a payment of $1100.00 they would settle the account. My mother also received a telephone call from the caller regarding my account. The stated their name BBM Mitigation. They also stated I had 24 hours to make a decision. If I didn't contact them they would go through a judge to garnish my wages. I was also informed that they take 25% out of my check until it was paid. I tried to get more information but he would not provide any additional information other that I owed for a past Citibank bank card. I know that any credit card debt I had in the past was already sent to collections. I could stay on the phone while he called Citibank; however, it would be approximately a two hour wait.
