I received a text message saying I would receive a check and instructions in the mail. Received the envelope through us postal service with a check and instructions on what to do with the check. It is a fake check from a credit union in Birmingham al. It was to do secret shopping. The instructions say to deposit check and it would be cleared in 24 hours. The check included $400 for my commission,$62 for my expenses and $1500 for me to purchase gift cards from walmart, home depot and staples. Then after purchasing gift cards I was to take pics of them and the receipts and send photos to 206-429-7368. The instructions said to make sure the cards were activated by the cashier before I left the store. Also not to dispose of cards because they would be used for subsequent assignments.
