My wife received a call regarding medical debt, and was told she was being sued for nearly $2000. Immediately, the caller asked for credit card information to set up a payment plan. The caller had information like the hospital she stayed at, the time she was there, and her insurance provider. She called her insurance to see why it had not been covered, and why we had not received a bill. The insurance agent on the helpline could not find any information on an outstanding charge and said that all of the hospital stay from that time had been covered. The insurance agent then attempted to call Mitchell D. Bluhm and Associates to get information, and the company would not answer the call for inquiry. She suggested we check my wife's credit report to see if there was a matching outstanding balance. When we checked her credit report, it showed no outstanding charges with that amount.
