I was installing Office 365 on my Home Mac. It was brand new out of the box. When I entered the security code i'd received n my install box, I received a pop up stating that there was an error and to call 1-800-707-2291. The man named Nathan said my computer had been hacked and I needed to purchase firewall protection. After a lengthy discussion and seeing what he was selling I hung up and called apple support who said it was a phishing attempt. I went through a different browser with apple support on the phone and was able to install Office without further incident. It was a total scam.
