Just received a check for 2450.00 as well and was told to buy 4 Apple gift cards worth 500.00 each, if this was a legit thing, wouldn’t more people be doing this? I can’t believe people actually fall for this scam

THIS IS AN EMAIL I RANDOMLY RECEIVED ON 5/25/21. When I decided to check for legitimacy, this is what I say and that’s what I am sending this. Clearly they are still scamming people.

Scammer advertised Secret Shopper possibilities. After filling out an application I received a check for $2,450 and was told to use $2,000 to purchase Apple GiftCards. I decided to research the company name used before depositing the check and saw similar stories of people getting scammed.

hello,, I have heard of becoming Secret Shoppers so i went online and click on links to sign up as one. From that point on I get email after email to sign up to be a secret shopper for companies but before i do that I get a letter w/check in the mail with instructions to deposit it into my bank account and then take so much out and buy gift cards to Walmart or E-bay, taking photos of receipts and of the gift cards.

do not do this. you get scammed but they get the money..

Letter does not have and Address or business Label. just a business name and an Supervisors name to text or email when you make the purchases..
