The guy asked for us to buy a visa reloadable gift card for $800, but they don’t sell them in that amount. He said they had an account with visa. I told him I couldn’t he told me to go to 2 different store for different amounts to total $800. I said no. Then the guy said send it to his cousins email because they couldn’t use their’s again that had met their limit. I asked why couldn’t we wire money from our bank to his, he never responded to that question. My husband was anxious to purchase a puppy so he sent $500 through zelle to the guys wife in her name sherrone lindsey. After that my husband and the guy, tony lane, faced time and decided to cancel the contract. The guy wanted to send the money back through zelle to our bank but my husband by this time knew it was a scam wouldn’t give him our info asked him to mail us a check for the $500. But in order to send us a check we needed to send him a picture of our drivers license, front and back and our SS number. I told him it didn’t need that info to buy a puppy so he didn’t need it now. We said no and we’re still waiting. Looking back there were red flags and we were dumb for trusting this guy, lesson learned the hard way.
