I saw an sponsored ad on Facebook for a pair if leather booties. I saw others commenting that they got theirs and lived them. I clicked through to order. I checked to see where this company was located and saw they were located in USA. I ordered, paying through paypal. That was Oct 12, 2021 however, PayPal shows I ordered on Sept 18. I did not receive until Nov 23. Because it was taking so long for delivery, from the USA, I went back on FB only to read comment after comment that these were not the product shown. I hadn't received any emails other than to download an app called Shop. I was Leary about that app bc I don't download a lot on my phone but I did download. That's when I discovered the company was in fact in China! When I finally got the boots, upon opening the package, A disgusting smell of dead animal filled my kitchen! The boots had no shoe strings in them but just thrown in the bag with these folded up cardboard like boots! They were NOTHING like what wax advertised! I tried contacting through Facebook & email. Nothing! I went back to Facebook and read how some had filed a complaint with FB and with the bbb. I filed a complaint with PayPal and got a response that I could either pay to ship the product back to China or accept a 30% refund. Seems to me, A scam company is making a lot of money on products they know will not be returned. Some on FB were only offered 15% refund. These companies are being al!owed on FB knowing they are fake. I reported the page to FB but its still up and running! I think they are using PayPal bc they know there really isn't anything PayPal can do to get all your money back, but if you used a credit or bank carx, the charges could reversed. On the otherhand, if yoh use a credit or bank card, they may empty your accounts because, who trusts China!?! This is my second experience with clucking on a FB sponsored page, ordering and getting something totally different than what was advertised! fool me once, shame on you, shame me twice....will never buy anything again off FB or online unless its from a reputable well known company. Having said thst, at first, second and even third glance, I thought I was buying from Minnetonka a very reputable company that I have bought from many times. Its no mistake the names are alike. I was offered 30% refund and asked if I accept. I replied no, I want 100% refund, do they accept. Haven't heard back yet. I have a feeling I'm eating this purchase.
