I first noticed that shortly after I emailed the scammer that I wanted a puppy, the dogs that were originally pictured CHANGED, and the prices were raised. I asked the scammer about that and he/she (they never identified themselves) replied with a link showing the original puppies, assuring me nothing had changed. But they definitely weren’t the same dogs. In addition to the prices being different on that “second set” of pictures, the blurbs under them were exactly the same as those of the first group of dogs despite the dogs’ pictures being different. The address in the contract shows the names of people whose names were not on the contract. The name on the contract is Chelsea Mickle, but when we looked the home up, the owners listed were a different name and there was no Chelsea Mickle. The most damning piece of evidence was that a video of a dog on their website was filched from someone’s personal Instagram account: ****************. Both pictures and videos were taken from that account and posted on their website. Bernedoodles typically go for around $3500 and up; they were selling dogs for $1000 (and on 2nd posting, $1900).
