I Was notified by phone, they was letting me know that they were a lawyers office representing Stringfellow Memorial hospital. they told me that I owed *** and that the cost had gone up to *** ...I was in the process of having my wages garnished and having to appear in court for a court appearance...But, they would accept the *** owed instead of the amout of ***...they informed me that they had tried several time via mail to get in touch with me but they acted like they had been sending the legal letters to the wrong address and that they had all been returned to them...they also told me that they try very hard to notify the people by tracking them down through a company that they have access to that they use for their company just for these matters...I was very cautious but then on the other hand this lady was very convincing...She sent me a link to my personal email that I myself gave her for me to be able to do a document sign website for me to sign electronically showing that I was going to make a payment arrangement at the end of the month for a auto draft of 662.00 ...I gave her my info whenever I called her back and I had to state my debit card info for her as it was recorded...As I got off the phone with her my son-in-law come to visit and saw what was going on and he advised me after I had already hung up the phone to call and cancel my debit card...my son-in-saw is a police officer and said that this just didn't sound right...so, I called and cancelled my card...the next day I called the Hospital that this was suppose to be about and they informed me that there was nothing owed to them from me...they gave me three other numbers to call to verify that I owed them nothing and after all of the phone calls and their legal department no one was able to tell me that I owed them anything...So, I called back the number and talked to the same lady that I had spoken to the night before and told her that nothing was showing up that I owed anything, she then preceded to tell me that what must have happened was that the company done away with the bill and didn't inform them about it and that I must not owe it anymore...so, at this point I really don't know what to think ...I asked her how can I be expected to go to court in my home town for a bill that no longer exist...the only answer was that someone somewhere must have not done their job and didn't notify their law office....she again told me that I must not owe anything now at this time.
