A week ago they called from a private number regarding a car that was repossessed over 20 years ago. They claimed to be collecting on an old debt and that I could settle the matter via phone right then by debit or credit card. They said I was due in court Oct 4, 2021, and that a process server would deliver my documents within 24 hours. I laughed at them, telling them I thought they were a scam company. Two days ago they called me again, saying they were moving forward with my case due to "evasion of service". As if I was dodging a process server. Today I called them back, to which they said there was no longer a court date because I had refused to pay. They claimed to be pursuing a default judgement instead. Again I told them they were trying to scam me, at which point they hung up on me.

I received a call from the Milliken Law Group about a card I had opened about 20 years ago. They said it was an attempt to collect a long overdue debt, and that they would put my information on permanent record if I did not pay.

I received the attached letter stating up to a point of a settlement, but I did not pay it.

They use an initial call stating from a private number that there was supposed to be documents for you to sign at your house. Then they give the 877-735-3709 number.

The address listed on the letterhead is not of a law firm, but of a bank in Los Angeles, CA.
