I applied to a posting through LinkedIn, and they reached out via text. They interviewed with overly simple questions. Said I did a great job and that I would be hired for the position and switched communications over to Telegram. Sent a ton of reassuring texts (seemed like onboarding, which was interesting given how quick they moved from interview to onboarding information). Indicated that I would need to start at 8:00 AM in my local timezone. Also stated that I would need to fill out W-4 and other paperwork that they would be emailing me with. Also said they would be sending money for a laptop, printer, scanner, time tracker, and high-speed internet connection. All of this was bologna. They got my name, phone number, email address, and the name of the bank that I bank with.
