He has the perfect personality for a con-artist. He is very outgoing, friendly and engaging.
His modus-operandi is that he cruises around residential neighborhoods, often after a major storm, and he looks for possible roof damage, then he knocks on the front door and makes his pitch.
He appears very knowledgeable.
I am 89 years old, and hired him to do work on my own roof, and work on one of my rental homes. The work he did was very high priced, and the amount of time he spent was way too short. I should have been suspicious, but wasn't.
Over a 2 year span, I paid him $24,975. Because of my age, and his work was on the roof, I was never able to verify the results.
The end came in mid May of 2024, after a major storm. One of my investment homes had major flooding in the basement. I paid him $6400 to stop the foundation leakage. He claimed he stopped the problem by inserting rods and pumping numerous of holes below the north & south side of the home's foundation, pumping in a special fluid, thus creating a barrier to stop any future leakage. No one was present when he did the work, and after the storm we had a dry spell. Soon thereafter I told my new property manager what Mike Gorman had done. My property manager was skeptical and he had it inspected. Result:
NO WORK HAD EVER BEEN DONE close to any outside foundation in more than a decade. Apparently Mike Gorman did an hours painting on a 8 ft section on the inside, and nothing else.
I have since attempted to contact him by text & phone. At first, ABSOLUTELY NO RESPONSE.
My last message to him was a legal threat.

.******** ****** *** ***** ** **** **** ***** *** ***** ** *** *** ** **** ** ** DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH MIKE GORMAN or anything with his name attached, especially if it relates to roofing. He seldom advertises, but although his front door approach is very enticing, be aware: HE IS BOTH A CLEVER CON-ARTIST AND A FRAUD. AND HE MIGHT BE VERY DANGEROUS!!!
