My husband received calls and texts saying: Yes this is Karen Harris and I'm calling in reference to your federal student loan. I need to discuss your repayment options with some new changes that have taken effect recently so if you could please be sure to give me a call back my number is tel:866-288-5775 and I'm gonna give you a reference number. If you would just have this handy when you call back and make things a lot easier.

We don't have a student loan, but they said it was impacting our credit. They called and sent texts multiple times.
