Hi, I received a text from +1 (916) 758-7051 about a job and to download hangouts. I was told to contact Robert Smith on hangout he is the HR manager. I interviewed and was offered Data Entry position yesterday. Today I was sent an email where I signed the employment letter and sent a copy of my license front and back picture. After that Robert wanted me to print a E-check from my email and mobile deposit for supplies. I did not do it because it seems suspicious at this point. However they do have my signature and copy of license. I have a feeling this may be a scam. I just think supplies should be mailed. Also when I recieved the email it said Microtech Ventures INC but when I clicked it for email address this popped up: [email protected]. That is a gmail account. And I have not communicated with anyone named Patrick James. Alex texted me from +1 (916) 758-7051 and told me to reach out to Robert Smith on hangouts. I didnt feel comfortable so I deleted hangout app.

I rec'd a message confirming if I am 'me'. I said "who is this?". The response was (verbatim, grammatical errors, typos and all) "I'm Alex Randy from Microtech Ventures, Inc. The recruitment team has reviewed your application via a Career Goal career building website , Let me know if you are interested for further Details on the Job. with a pay of $30.95/hr. Reply back if Interested. Thank You!!!

Microtech Ventures, Inc is a legitimate company out of Alabama and they won't be reaching out to someone via mobile phone in the manner which was done to me, especially with the poor grammar, etc., not to mention, I have 'zero' expertise in this type of industry - NONE. I blocked this number and advised them the FBI have been given their information and will be in touch with them.
