The person contacted me with a job offer. I had to download an app called Wire. There the Hiring manager text me and gave me my interview. I did not give out personal information, it was strictly yes and no questions. After interviewing, I got an email of acceptance. I signed and dates contract and w4 form. The position was for Remote Data analyst. An email coming from [email protected] ( Yvette Castillo) was the person thr contract came from. The. I got cleared. The Hiring manager named Brian, told me the financial advisor will contact me with how I will receive money. His email was [email protected], name Brian D. Martinez. He sent me a copy if a check via email. I was to print it out and deposit into my checking account. I did so. The Hiring manager messaged me telling me these funds will be used to buy my equipment for the job. Then he proceed to tell me to send the funds to a vendor to order my equipment. I tried, funds did not transfer. I thought this was very fishy, so I researched and found that this was of getting equipment was not legit. I messaged back the Hiring manager Brian and told him that the check needs to clear before I can take it out and send. He said ok. The next morning I called my bank and told them I deposited what I think is a fraud check and to please cancel the check. I then messaged the Hiring manager and told him my back was canceling thr deposited check. He told me funds were already taken out. Which was true. My bank told me to ignore the deposited funds because it will be deleted from my account once everything goes through. I emailed the financial specialist and told him my funds are not available and thr bank is canceling my deposit. I also emailed the recruiter Yvette and told her the positon will not be going forward.
