Popup message received on laptop that my computer had been infected by a virus and I needed to call to have this fixed. I was unable to close the popup after repeated tries so I called the number on the popup. Person answered as representing Microsoft. Like an [censored] I gave him access to my IP address and other info. DUMB I know but hindsight is what it is. They are suppose to call me today to have me e-sign the "contract" they sent to me and endorse the prefilled out check for the cost of the "repair" .
