Microsoft Technical Support- IMPOSTOR Reports & Reviews (1)

- Sanford, ME, USA

I received a phone call from Morpheus Williams claiming to be from Microsoft Technical Support. He said that when I purchased my computer, $399.00 was built in for automatic updates and that those updates expired yesterday. He said I could either pay another $399 or I could get a $399 refund. I said I wanted the refund, and he said I needed to fill out a form on my computer in order to get it. He walked me through giving him permissions to get into my computer and then I saw his mouse moving around on my screen. He said that I needed to give him my password, and I said no and hung up on him. He then called back and said that he was locking my computer and that I needed to pay him $5,000.00 to get it unlocked. My computer now says "ultraview" and lists a phone number to call.
