Microsoft Refund Department Spoof Reports & Reviews (1)

- Lakewood, NJ, USA

A voicemail was left by "Kathy Jackson" from Microsoft. It was obviously computer generated and said they were from Microsoft Refund Department. They said tech support was shutting down and they were attempting to contact me to issue a refund. The message was so ludicrous, but I went on line because I was curious and wanted to learn more. Google showed many posts which happened to be on Microsoft's own site. There were various posts, some were international. Imagine my surprise when I realized the first comment about this subject was posted 2013! That was five years ago. Five years of people being scammed, losing money and whatever else. How could this still be happening without them being stopped? I realize scams are hard to trace, but I believe you could do this in five years. Some victims did lose money.
