they called me and said they are from microsoft and they are getting some error and warnings then they got into my computer and asked me $*** to fix it

SCAM ATTEMPT POP UP ON PC. I was on my computer just typing in general Search terms when a pop-up came up informing me that my personal information credit cards account information and Etc had been compromised. It then directed me to call Microsoft at an 844 number to resolve the issue upon calling the lady tried to sound official, but since she barely spoke english while asking if it was a personal or business computer and my state, something I felt Microsoft should know, I hung up. She then called back, my curiosity was peaked a bit because calling any major company with employee I.D numbers i can't even get back to the person whom I had been dealing with. However, I thought maybe it could be legit. After telling her it was a personal computer, I immediately had feelings of light hearted stupidity and kind of off. Then she asked me to start typing some commands into my computer which had given me even more of an off feeling and my feelings of stupidity turned into instictual feelings of danger screaming at me. I then bought some time by telling her I had to grab a headset so I could hear her better. During the time when I was "grabbing my headset" I grabbed my tablet to check the number and see if there were any scams liked this happening, and of course there were. I told the garbage on the phone I was aware that she was a scammer and told her to never call back again. Moral is listen to your instincts, made them wait so you can check then out, and get as much info as you can. I failed at the last one, I should have taken a screenshot.

These people have called my mom for the last three nights in a row between midnight and 12:30 am! They claim to be Microsoft Tech Support calling about a problem with her computer (that she does not have).

while online a computer voice started talking as my screen was taken over with something flashing and a warning that my computer was infected with a virus and that my passwords to my credit cards and facebook, etc. may be being taken.

it says it is a microsoft company and gives a phone number 1 844-415-7222.

if you call they ask you to open up GoToAssist. Then they control your computer and talk to you on the phone - they show you all the extensions that were added on that look scary and remove some. meanwhile you feel the pressure and worry that you need to act quickly because it feels like a hacker or virus is in your computer taking important information, its nerve-wreaking! they try to sell you a fix for around $***.

The Fix: turn off your computer for a while.

I was lucky to have a computer expert available when i was in the thick of dealing with them, otherwise I would have given them my credit card to get the problem fixed.

a horrible, horrible scam.

I went to go on my computer and tried to go to my online banking through google. A warning came on stating that Microsoft detected a virus and that I needed to contact this 1-800 number. I tried to exit out of this and would not allow me to. I called the number and the man with a foreign accent stated he was from Microsoft and that he was a technician and asked why I was calling. I told him that I was advised to call this number. He asked what was the last activity I was doing when I got this message. He then told me to follow these steps "so he can help" me. He then gave me words to enter which were "iexplorer www.helpme/438878"(or some number like that). He then had complete access to my computer. I seen him do everything within my computer. He then said that he would need $200 to fix this problem and I told him that I am not doing that and that I would contact Best Buy where I had bought the computer from. He then said that Best Buy basically will only set It back to the point before the hackers got access to my computer. He mentioned that people have been monitoring my keystrokes. I then said I will not give you money and thanked him for his time and hung up. I then shut down my computer and disconnected it from my router. I unfortunately do not have any picture or attachments

A pop-up warning came on my computer and it said Microsoft . Phone number listed was 866-841-9124 to call immediately or my computer was shut down.

My computer showed a problem with Microsoft and a number to call. They said they could repair for a cost of ***. They wanted my bank account but I would not give them so they said I could use a credit card and pay with PayPal. I did. Now I have cancelled the card

Robot called left message; my Microsoft Firewall Protection as been breached, Do Not log onto any personal accounts such as banking until I talk to a “Specialist” at Microsoft. To reach an agent please call (818)-584-7165

I have received 10+ calls and voicemails from this company, saying I used the services of Microsoft and the company is going out of business and I am entitled to a refund.

I spoke with someone there and told them to remove my number from this list, he said he wouldn't remove because he likes hearing my voice and it is sexy and will I marry him.

I am not amused.

Microsoft calls claiming windows support is going to shut down, please call, when I returned call and ask them to take me off the call list, that I knew they where scammers he said I'll call you everyday, I told them I was going to report them and they said I'm going to call you 100 times a day, I said I'll report you 100 times a day.
