Last evening shortly after 9:30 p.m. I received a pop-up message on my computer that I needed to call a certain number within 5 minutes or my computer would be shut down. I did this and called the number . I talked with someone whose tech name is Sean with the employee # MS9121.. He said he could fix it in about an hour and I could call him at 1-866-753-2724. He even gave me a case ID # MAG53PLR98. I gave him no other information than my email address. I went to bed and this morning my computer was still working. He called this morning and I had no further information to give him. Of course, he wanted credit card, debit card, & online banking info. I told him we pay only by check and he said they do not accept checks. I said I would call him on Saturday, but he called again this afternoon. This time he told me I could go to a store and buy $300 of i-tunes cards. I said I couldn't get to the store until Tuesday. Of course, he promised to call me back on Tuesday afternoon. I will hang up on him.
