I was on my PC when I got multiple pop up Tabs saying that computer was corrupted and not to attempt to fix or turn off. I did have a phone#, which I called. When I got through I heard a gentleman named Dan Thomas, with an Indian accent. He told me that he could fix computer manually (me helping) or do it automaticlly. After he said it would be what I thought $5.99 to fix I gave him my debit card info and told him to do it automatically. After he fixed computer, he said another person would call to finalize payment, it was then I found out it was $599 and not $5.99!! I was shocked and realized I was victim of a SCAM. When other person who said his name was Regan Park (but sounded Indian,again) called I refused to finalize payment and told person to call me back. In meantime, I contacted my bank and locked out my debit card. I was called 2 more times and refused to pick up call. As of now, no monies have been taken out of my account. I seem to have been very lucky and after being caught unawares, I realized I was victim of SCAM and hopefully avoided a financial loss.
