At home work. Job offer to work at home. 9/21/2023 received a check via UPS next day air #1Z5246930141403014. Use of check to buy supplies. It started with the person communicating with me on Microsoft Teams. Stated would use their vendor, but send the money to me in trust it would deposited into my banking account to cover expenses. A letter attached to the UPS envelope stating. 1. Deposit image/Receipt. 2. How you paid for your supplies. 3. Amount used. 4. Date funds were used. Showed bank representative the check. He reported it as fraud/scam and advised me not to deposit it. Therefore, I followed representative instructions and shred the check. I sent a message to the contact person stating what I have done, and will no longer be doing business with him.
