Michael called and hung up when I did not answer the phone. Called again and left message for me to call him. Used my name and told me he was from the Dept of Commerce Protection Division. Advised me that I had won $1.2 million and wanted to know if I had received any correspondence on same. I told him no. Said the sweepstakes was out of Las Vagus and they wanted to stop payment on the check they had sent to me as I had not claimed the prize. Told me it was in Ft Lauderdale government warehouse and I need to all them so that they could release the package to me. I called, 866-978-6061 and gave them the tracking #OCB227-US talked to Jason Williams at ext. 106 (however he answered the telephone). He said I had won the money and it could be delivered to me the next day but I would need a Fiscal Agent to draw up a Declaration in order for me to be able to deposit the money in my bank . This Declaration would assure the bank that the money was legit and that all taxes had been paid on same. Told me to over night two money orders for $600. each to Michelle Pickett, 1512 South 24th St, Philadelphia 19146. Guaranteed the money would be returned along with the package the next day so I would lose no money. I then called Michael Gordon and advised him of this as he requested and advised him that I did not have $1200. to send. He said the IRS knew how much money I had coming in every month and I should be able to afford this. I then ask him if he had a list of the amount of money I paid out each month since he seemed to know everything else. I knew this was a scam from the beginning but followed through on phone calls, etc. as directed. (He just called me again but I did not answer). I then called the US Department of Commerce in DC and ask if they had an employee or agent by Michael Gordon's name. She said no and they did not have a branch for Consumer protection either. (When I called this Gordon back both times, he answered the telephone directly. Said the State of Florida required the filing of the winnings so they would know it wasn't money laundering.
