Michael contacts you to deposit funds into your bank account and then withdraw the amount you deposited into a bitcoin machine. The withdrawal will be the next day. The e-transferred cheque is a fraud. If your bank lets you take the money out before the cheque clears (which is shouldn't), then you end up fronting the money to the scammer and you're on the hook to the bank. My daughter was caught in this scam. To make matters worse, Honey Badger is in on it. After contacting them to determine if the transaction was processed in an effort to retrieve the cash, we were told to provide our personal information including a photocopy of our driver license and they would send the money back less their 'processing' fees. Not willing to be victimized a second time. Police reports have been filed names have been provided but not optimistic.
