I attempted to purchase a puppy for my mother for Christmas. The deal seemed to good to be true. It was. After being pressured to pay the full $700 in advance through Zelle I was suspicious but held faith that things would work out. After finalizing the purchase, the shipping company Christian Pet Shippers asked for an additional $1500 for a "thermal electronic crate". When refusing to pay, they threatened with an arrest warrant for pet abandonment.
