We started working with Zach Tyree with Metro Detroit Renovations in April of 2021. We paid him our deposit and he started working in May of 2021 on building our fronch porch. He started building without a permit. We got a stop work notice and a fine from the city. He told me I had to go to the city to get my own permit for him to finish building the porch. We found out that the porch is not up to code with the city and let him know that. And now he has not been back, The porch has not been touched since May and it is only half finished. He has not answered any calls, texts, facebook messages, or emails since. He took our money, built half a porch, and now we are left responsible to start all over. Will need to tear out the work he did since it is not up to code with the city.
