A women called me saying that I had an active order of location and that they would be sending someone to my place of employment to serve me papers for a court date. She gave me a phone number to call and a reference number ending with the last four of my ss#. I called the number and they said it was for a hospital visit in 2011 and I owed 650.00 and if I could pay it today she would see if they could take it out of the court process. I agreed but my bank declined the payment and she asked if I received a text or email from the bank. I said I would call the bank and call her right back. Meanwhile, one of their people pretended to be the bank and called my husband. I then googled Mercury Law and saw this post so I called the bank and cancelled my card. They continued to call my number and left a voicemail saying they would have no other option than to move forward with the process.

Type of a scam Bank/Credit Card Company Imposter Scam

A woman named Lauren called myself, my husband some of my husband’s family. With an older to locate for a lawsuit that is being filed. She gave me the name Mercury Law case # EM-239826-XXXX ( the last 4 being the last 4 of his SS#). Stating he owes Capital One $1692.26. She stated the account was opened in 2009 and payments were made until 2012. He did not have a credit card of any kind until I added him to 1 of mine. Last night I looked up statutes of limitations and that limit has long past. While we were on the phone with her she tried to get me to pay $500.00 to hold off the lawsuit and I told her the truth. I don’t have $500.00 and our house insurance is due. This
Morning I looked up Mercury Law and all I see is scam reports. The woman I spoke to said her name is Katherine Moore ext 501.

I spoke to the same lady and she was saying HSBC don’t not have any info on my account because it’s past delinquent and it got sent to a layers office and they can’t give me any info until the judge signs off on the papers to serve me.So I told her this card is not on my credit report and she said it won’t be because it’s been in Collection for a very long time.
Number to call back for Katherine Moore is (888)7214732 and the number that calls is (626)6233836 and that lady’s name is Tonya Williams.

Capital one "breach of contract"

A woman called my work and cell saying she was from judiciary dept. She said there is a civil suit against me and to call 855-903-1772 for details. I was told I was being sued for breach if contract with Capital one for an account I had in 2010. I have 2 accounts with them currently both of which are in excellent standing.

Type of a scam Debt Collections

A lady by the name of Della Mason from 520-485-4963 left a message on my voice mail saying my complete name. She said that they have an active order of location and is going to send someone out to my premises to give me my court papers for court. That this is through the county. She gave a case number EM341798-2062 ending with the last four of my social security. I called the number 888-985-4359, another lady answered saying 'legal'. She said that I got a Capitol One credit card from Wells Fargo and did not pay it off. She said that they are suing me for breach of contract and the courts will be summoning me to court. She could not give what court and what address for me. They said that it was on my credit and they had the credit bureau remove it so they could take me to court. I called Capitol One and the two cards I had have zero balances and were paid off. I called Transunion to verify if I had any debt with Capitol One or Wells Fargo. They said they did not show anything.

Some woman just called me and said the same thing. I hung up on her and she then called back, left a voicemail saying that because I hung up that was now considered a forfeit of my legal rights! SMH these people ain’t got nothing else to do.
