Merck&CO Inc Reports & Reviews (1)

- Charlotte, NC, USA

Initially everything seemed real except for the job description where it stated that training would be $24/hr and after training would be $28/hr. That sounded to good to be true considering that I have no degree or any experience. This all started on 4/16/16 @ 8:58am, the name they used was Christopher Cook. After reviewing everything we continued with the process and he scheduled an interview for 4/15/16 @ 9:00am on AOL instant messenger. He did not show up to the interview so he contacted me by email on 4/15/16 @ 7:05 pm and told me due to an emergency meeting I was rescheduled for the next day at the same time. Next day comes and the interview starts at 9:00 am, nothing seemed fake at that time because all of the questions where normal. Towards the end, I was asked to scan and email one form of ID and a proof of address and afterwards it would take up to 24-48 hours to determine my employment status. On 4/16/15 at 9:39 pm I emailed him my drivers license and a piece of mail showing my address. Finally, I was contacted on 4/18/16 at 12:19 pm stating that I must report to AIM(AOL Instant Messenger). At that time I was experiencing technical difficulties so I couldnt proceed with that instruction. On 4/19/16 I responded through AIM saying that I apologize for the delay and we can continue with the process and he continued to ask questions about different things that were based on the job description like "give me a brief explanation of entry and inquiry screens". Considering that I was unfamiliar I decided to research the question to see if anyone could help me out and I found on scamwarners.com that this was a scam so after reading each post I found a guy that paste the full conversation between him and the recruiter and it was just like mines. Afterwards I decided to continue the interview to see if he would ask the next question the same as the man had posted on the website and he did which was to write an article in Word docx. about different banks. After discovering that it was a scam, I ended the chat and logged off. I didn't hear anything else from him until today of 4/22/16 at 9:18am with an email informing me about the finance department registration for my HOL(home office location) and that I should be there to recieve a check to purchase all of the necessary itmes for the job. Afterwards at 9:40am I was sent another email that had a tracking number for the check. I copied the tracking number and pasted it into the "track a package" field and saw that it was scheduled to deliver for today. It came at 11:36 am. The senders name is Cielo Chiropractic and the address is 3710 W. Euclid Ave Tampa, FL 33629. Inside is a fake check of $3,800, its funded by the Water and Power Community Credit Union. I have saved all of the emails and Instant Messages for evidence.
