They contacted me via text telling me they reviewed my resume and said I would be a good match for a position. Then they had me log onto Google Hangout for an online interview. We chatted for about an hour and then he said he needed to send our conversation to the business to review to see if I meet the qualifications for the job and we would chat again in the morning 8am my time. We chatted again for about an hour. The offer was too good to be true but I figured lets see where this goes. I saw a few red flags such as the salary was way high for that position, the amount changed during the discussion, they were sending me a check to deposit via the ATM or Online and keep $150 out of it and send the rest to the Vendor who sets up the software on the computer, by the way it was a 100% work from home as an Administrative Assistant. I reached out to him a few hours later and he said hello and I asked "Is this a scam?" he responded with why would you ask me that. I said I saw a few red flags and even though I didn't I told him I reached out to him via LinkedIn and told him the gentleman did not know who I was or what I was talking about. After that he stopped responding to me. Any job asking to chat online via Google Hangouts is probably a SCAM. Beware!!!

Job was listed on Indeed.com as a work from home position with Merck, which is a real company. They offered an interview through google hangout and overnighted a check via FedEx for $3200 to purchase equipment for the job(computer, etc). Once the check was deposited into my account, I did not purchase anything as it became clear that it was a scam. They offered training through google hangout as well and rushed for me to respond once I realized what was going on.
