I was called by someone claiming to be a representative of Heartland (my current credit card processing company) the lady said that she was going to reduce my bill and would send a new terminal and contract. When she asked for my bank routing number and account number I declined and told her that I needed to verify her authenticity. She sent an emailed contract but I did not open it. It came from "Merchant Retention". I told her that I would call her back and did not.
