Memowrite showed up on my Instagram feed within the last 30 days or so. I opened it up to see what it was all about. That’s it to the best of my recollection. In the middle of the night last night there were two separate charges to my card. My bank questioned them and put a hold on my card so the end result was the money never came out of my account.

Memowrite is a scam. Haven’t used the service for six months. To my surprise they billed me $206 and I can’t get a hold of them. Everything is AI

Memowrite - the process was fun & easy... until the charges on my credit card started. In total the 3 books were going to run about $*******. Fine. First few questions were meaningful. After 3-4 questions, they became less meaningful & instead asked shallow lack of depth questions.

I contacted them for a refund, as it was still in the trial period. I told them why I wanted to cancel & to refund monies paid. I did get some of the money refunded... about half.

If you want a superficial account of your life... this is the one for you.

I join the many dissatisfied customers who say Memowrite IS A SCAM. But worse than taking my money (twice), I invested a lot of time and emotions to write my personal memoirs. They said I could choose my own chapter titles but when my book was finally published 3 months past their promised delivery date, it was a total disaster. They moved my pictures around in random places. The capper for me was the title THEY chose for the memories of my prized horses... "COMFORT ON A PLATE"!!!

Everything I so carefully wrote and remembered is a TOTAL DISASTER!

I want a new book and my money back. They just keep gaslighting and saying they escalated my claim.

BUYER BEWARE!!! STAY AWAY from Memowrite!!

I found their memoir book website in a NewsBreak email. I entered text and photos. I waited for draft pages to review and approve to publish. After entering my data, the site would not let me access my info. Web access errors. I had 13 emails from them responding to my questions and concerns. Last emails were to "expect delays". No communication on status or book being published or sent. No phone number or mail address is listed online or in emails. During this 2 months, my credit card was coincidentally fraudulently used by Cinemark in 2 states.

One of their emails said my original book plan was cancelled. (I'd upgraded the book features). A refund was not made. The cost of the upgraded product was then charged. I've disputed the second charge of $68 on my VISA.

I am elderly and mobility impaired. I was enticed by an online ad for publication of a memory book. The cost seemed reasonable in the teaser ad, but the amount to be paid kept rising as I was enticed to make changes and add features. I had given them my PayPal account information, not realizing that the total amount was to be paid immediately. The total is much more than I can afford.

I have attempted to cancel the transaction, which PayPal says I need to do with the merchant. The merchant--advertised as Memowrite, though the PayPal bill lists the vendor as UAB KILO GRUPE--lists no telephone number or street address or location (state and/or country) of the company; they invite communication only via email, which seems quite suspicious although I did not notice this lapse until it was too late. These people are slick, as I suppose most scammers are.

Without explaining their purpose, Memowrite lists various news outlets, presumably suggesting that those entities have endorsed or been supportive of the company. They do not list Better Business Bureau or the ScamPulse.com logo, which I should have known to look for. I understand now that I am not the first to report this fraudulent activity to BBB.

This company claimed to print a family memo book with pictures after answering 50 questions. I did the questions and submitted the questions and received a note that said they had received my information and would send me the finished product in 24 hours. That was 3 weeks ago. I have been unable to contact them - I do not know where they are located.
