Booked a trip on Melia app with my rewards. Entered my debit card number. The app was spinning. Called the number attached to the app with New York area code. Spoke with a representative and she said that it was canceled and to give her my debit card number and she’d try again. $2759.38 was pending and final transaction went through the next day. I got no confirmation email or receipt from resort. I have the email and debit card statement of when the funds were taken. The female who took my card information over the phone called back twice from a number in Spain. She said there was no record on their end that payment was taken and no reservation. I have called the booking number they tell me to email customer service. I call daily and no one can help. My bank is requesting in writing that they received no payment so they can reverse the charges. No one will email me or call me back. I have also emailed the hotel directly with no response.
