Pomeranian Scam or Legit?

I found their website (https://www.melipomeranianhome.com/) and inquired about 2 puppies. We emailed back and forth a dozen or more times. They wanted to make sure I was a good fit and would take care of the puppies.

She said they took credit cards, then said she called her husband and he said they hadn’t resolved the issue they had been having with credit cards, so it had to be Apple Pay, Gift Cards, or Zelle.

They sent me the Zelle info and the names of the dogs we were purchasing and one of the names was wrong. despite me correcting them a couple of times already. Even the descriptions of the dogs on their site list multiple names in the description of one dog.

Then I googled and saw one complaint on this site and decided not to complete the transaction. Also, the prices are about half what they should be. $700 for an AKC registered Pom?

There is also no phone number or address on their website. They claim to be in Cape Coral, FL. Their email address is [email protected].

I asked them for their address and registration number. Also requested a FaceTime to see the puppies. They sent me this address, but said they didn’t have a registration number. 3113 SE 16th Pl. Cape Coral, FL. 33904. The house is very small, yet on the site it says they have 6 large separated rooms for the dogs. Nothing adds up.

Then I asked them to FaceTime with the puppies and was told no they don’t do video calls. So, I asked for pictures of the puppies other than what is on their site. They stopped communicating with me after that.

I did not lose any money because things started to seem fishy and I didn't complete the transaction. I just hope others don't fall victim to scams like this and do their homework.

Contacted this site to purchase a puppy. The scammer texted back and was pretty convincing about interviewing me and ( of course ) approved me. They requested money via Zelle, Cash App, and Apple Gift Cards. After a bunch of problems we broke down and did the thing you are never supposed to do, sent apple gift cards. At which point they became a proxy for a the pet transport company which turned out to be a fake too. All in all they have taken $3100 and are still trying to get more, an invoice for $2000 showed up today for the sick puppy that was stuck in the airport vet. The longer this goes on the less things line up.
