I applied for a job on Glassdoor - a legitimate job posting website. It advertised a nurse practitioner job at a correction facility on Lebanon, OH and indicated applying with a contractor for the position. The next morning I received a text asking me to click on a link and fill out the questionnaire for this job - knowing I applied on Glassdoor, I thought it was legitimate and did so - I added my name, address, phone number, nursing license number, covid vaccination record, DOB, two references and the last 4 of my SocSec. I also received a message about completing the same through Glassdoor by the MedQSolutions company. I was also called by a man with an Indian accent while I was filling out the form on the link asking me if I was interested in the job and if I had received the link. I replied I did and was completing it - he said a few things about the job, location, hours and said if i was interested he would submit my info to the employer as soon as I finished uploading it. He sent two more texts asking me if it was uploaded yet. I finished and a few minutes later he sent me a text asking for me to send a copy of my driver's license via text. I started to feel something wasn't right when he was so persistent with the texts so I declined to send him my driver's license info. He tried to call me again, I did not answer and he did not leave a voicemail. replied via text and told him I was not familiar with MedQSolutions as I had applied through Glassdoor - he stated the job was through indeed and sent me a screen shot of his laptop that showed my submission through indeed, which he appeared to be logged into and reading my information. I still felt odd about it so i went back to Glassdoor and looked up info on the company which had several poor reviews, said they were an IT company, not healthcare, and between Glassdoor and the MedQsolutions website I found listing of locations in TX, WA and one other state (I am in Ohio). I tried following links from their website to Instagram, Facebook, Twitter/X, Youtube and Linked In. Twitter did not work, Facebook led to a Facebook page with minimal content - only 5 followers, linked In took me to their Linked In page with minimal content, the Instagram link did not work, the Youtube link did not work. I advised this person by replying to their text message that I didn't know who they were and would not be continuing with them. He became temperamental via text stating when he called me I told him I was interested in the position, seems like you're not interested with this position and moving from our agency - if not interested you can drop out and we will look for other clients. I checked Glassdoor today and the job posting states it has expired. I phone the two correctional facilities in my area and they do not have any listed positions open for the position that was advertised and stated they are unfamiliar with MedQSolutions and do not work with them. I am concerned about the info they did get from me and that following the link may have allowed data to be stolen from my phone - I am working with my phone carrier on this. Please work to shut them down - this is an awful scam pretending to be a medical staffing recruiter.
