I saw a job advertised on Facebook to be a data entry clerk for a medical marijuana business. I responded to the ad through IM. I got a reply from Jenson Davis and gave me information to contact HR about the job. I competed a 1044 form with my social security number on it. I was given a link to do an interview through Google Chat. The next day, Robert Smith in HR told me I got the job. He told me to add a line to my current cell plan to and to buy a phone just for company business. I bought an Apple 13Pro for $1000. I took a picture of the receipt and phone and send it to him through Google chat. I asked him for the next step. He told me to put the phone in a box and ship it through the FedEx drop box in Gahanna to John Charles, 4**6, 1**-** 1**th Ave, Spr****** ****ns, NY 1***3. His FedEx acct # is 0***00000. I asked why I was sending my new phone away, and he said it was because they had to install the Latex software on the phone, I couldn't do it myself. They said they would return the phone to me within 48 hours. I pretended to take my phone to FedEx, but instead I returned the phone to the T Mobile store. Robert texted today and asked when I was sending him the phone. I told him I was keeping it for myself, and reporting him to the police and BBB. He replied that I hadn't stolen anything from me and anything I have said could be used in a court of law against me. I have filed a police report.
