Scammer contacted me via text message to inform me my resume was found on job board such as linked in and they were interested in having me for a remote data entry position for medicover. I then filled out a w-4 and I never signed the on boarding paper work yet they were trying to train me and then they sent me a check to buy work materials needed which the bank verified as illegitimate and they wouldn't deposit check. That was second red flag. Then after telling the person I will not come out of pocket to cover materials initially to be "reimbursed " later they no longer responded and up until this moment I still have no response.
