The caller wanted to sell me a Medicare supplemental coverage. When I asked who they were calling for I was told "Medicare." I expressed surprise and asked if they were working for the government and they said "yes." I am sure the caller was not being truthful--she hung up abruptly after the second question.

I have been getting LOTS of calls from "Medicare". They say an inaudible name when they start speaking/introduce themselves as a representative. More recently I have been asked if I have any issues with my 'old card'. I'm asked if I am my dad (father's name) - I have never verified his name as a relative nor as anyone I know. My phone number has only ever been my phone number.

When I ask who is calling or what their name is, they only ask why would I need to know or just hang up. Not a lot of info to go on; however, I have a long list of numbers (from just the last 4ish weeks) that may help track them down.
