This call comes from a number that has same area code and first 3 digits of the town I live in (being 781-231-5397). They are trying to pitch medical devices that are alike the Life Alert brand, though they mention no exact brand in their message. I answered because it was a local town number and was greeted by a recorded voice telling me about the advantages of their medical alert system and how to sign up it. I did not get the specifics and no message was left so I can't provide any further information in those regards. It seems like a clear scam, in atttempt to swipe credit info from seniors My guess is they are using technology that re-routes original call through a local # (making it seem more legitimate and increase rate of people who answer it).

I believe I have received these calls before, coming from local town #s and pitching a fraud product. I do not know if it can be traced back. My number is 781-231-2445. If that is in any help of discovering who and how they are orchestrating this scam.
