I am currently going through a background investigation for a job.While looking over my credit report, I realized that there were collections on my credit report that did not belong to me. I called the collection agency listed on my report (TSI/33) where I was able to speak with representative, Ms. Anna. I explained to her that there were some accounts in collections that do not belong to me. These falsified accounts were created and sent in for collections. I did as Anna instructed, which was to send in a fax requesting to have these two charges/accounts removed from my credit report. She stated to send in the pages where they are listed and to state, “PLEASE REMOVE THESE FRAUDULENT CHARGES FROM MY CREDIT REPORT’. I also attached documentation from others that have also had this happen to them. I have begun the process of disputing the items with the credit report agencies. There has to be something that can happen to have this not happen to others.
