They contacted me thru text messaging and offered me a position starting at $21.00 an hour for Administrative Assistant in a work from home. Everything sounded good yesterday but today it got hinky. They emailed me a check to deposit via mobile banking. After researching the company (the check came from an off-shoot company that is not associated), and calling the bank that was provided on the "check", and calling the company (which is legit), I discovered that this is a scam. The legit company IS hiring someone to perform the functions they contacted me about, but they need someone in office, not remote.
