On July 28, 2021, ****** received an email from Patrida Brooks, (job title unknown) stating that his resume was received, reviewed and approved. The email had McKesson name on it as ****** applied to work for McKesson. In the email Patrida told ****** to contact Pamela.

On July 29, ****** called Pamela over Skype regarding the job interview for the administrative assistant position. Pamela told ****** that he would be receiving a check soon and that he should be on the lookout for it. Pamela told ****** that the accounting department would send the check to ******’s home address to cover the cost of the software that he would need for work. Pamela told ****** that as soon as the check is provided to him, he would have to contact her and then deposit the check in his personal bank. Pamela then told ****** that the day after depositing the check, the funds would be available in cash. Pamela told ****** that he is to take the cash and go to the vendor and purchase that software that ****** would need to work. Pamela told ****** that McKesson has been working with the vendor for years. Pamela did not provide a name of the vendor organization. ****** told Pamela that he has concerns about depositing the check into his personal account, and she stated that McKesson has a transparent way of hiring people. ****** asked Pamela why he could not get a phone number, and she told him that everything has to be taken step by step. ****** was not able to report the concern to anyone.

I initially received an email offering me a job at Mckesson from a man allegedly named Josefa Cisneros Montana ([email protected]) saying that I should reply with my resume. I sent the resume and then I was contacted by text by a man allegedly named Marshall Scott (3157912371 and 6603120698), who claimed to be an HR supervisor at Mckesson. He sent a check by mail to my dorm and told me to let him know when I received it so that I would get further instructions. It was a cashier's check for $2,150 that appeared to be from tucson federal credit union. He then claimed that that $1800 of the check should be sent through Western Union to a supplier. Since my account was new, the check was put on hold for five days so I could not use it immediately. He then instructed my to use $900 of my own funds one day and the check would be reimbursement for the rest. The next day, he claimed the supplier needed another $900 and that that could be solved through giving him the code for nine $100 iTunes gift cards. After that had happen, I found out from Western Union that the address attached to the transfer was involved in fraud and that the funds would be refunded to my account. I also was able to find out through a "tucson federal credit union cashier's check" search that they had had a problem with scammers sending fraudulent checks and through copy pasting the first few sentences of the initial email into google search that McKesson also had a problem with fraudulent job offers. The scammer does not know that I've discovered him and is still asking for nine more gift cards once Western Union refunds the money.
