I also received a quote, put $500 down, then Bill McDonald had one excuse after another for not showing up. Finally, working a few hours every couple of days he sat in his truck and his 3 school-age boys did a pretty good sanding job on my deck using hand sanders but needed promised floor sander. I asked if he could stain my fence. He said he could do it, made a bid, and I gave him $1550 to finish both jobs. Bill finished fence staining, 80% of deck sanding, and oversprayed deck staining. Though we've spoken multiple times, excuses have multiplied, and that was the last I've seen of him or my money for 2 weeks now.
