I should have known better than this. Wanted to get a puppy for my girlfriend and I, then found this website. We contacted the people about which puppy we were interested in, and shortly they got back to us with an email and text message. I was sent photos of the puppy and all of it seemed legit. Asked for more pictures and got a couple more new ones which to me made it seem believable. They asked for my address and name and shortly gave the amount for the dog. Which was 850 dollars. Being foolish, I sent it. And the next morning I was informed the dog was already being shipped and was sent a tracking number. A fake one which did seem real. Then I was texted by another number which I do not have anymore somehow and was told to check my email since I needed to an air conditioning travel kennel for the dog and the only prices ranged from 1500-2900 dollars. It was at that moment I knew I screwed up. I could either purchase a kennel or rent a kennel and get 95% of my money back. Then I got a call from the second number and when I spoke to him, his voice was very foreign and has broken english, I could not understand him at all. Red flags were everywhere. I called the first number, someone answered but he said only 5 words then hung up, saying “get kennel to ship dog.” I then texted him saying I was not informed of this step and wanted a refund. He did not respond until I kept texting him and all he could say was “tomorrow” which is when he will send my money back. Nothing. So that is how I got scammed, however I should have knew better. I contacted my bank hoping they can reverse the payment but the process can take up to a month. (Was used with Zelle)
