my credit union just called to inform me of a $95.95 charge on my credit card. to the best of my knowledge I never bought anything from Mayopot it is unknown how they got my credit card number because I only used this card one time in the past 4 months for a total of $31.48

I have read the reviews showing the scam of Mayopot. I signed on before I read about the woman who bought some ear plugs and found further charges made to her in extreme amounts. Just another group making money from the unexpecting public

After signing up with Mayopot I have read the reviews revealing the Scam. I read about the woman who signed up and found future extreme charges. I don’t want any surprising charges in the future . I need a phone number so I can call right now to cancel.

I was online and after completing a purchase this add popped up and I was reeled in by the offer of free ear pods with only a shipping charge of $6.95 providing I just answer a few very general questions about my purchase preferences. I don't use ear pods but since they were free thought one of my grandchildren could use them. However, once I gave them my credit card info for the shipping, about 2 weeks later they charged $95.95 then refused a refund saying it was in the terms and conditions and I should have read them. We went round and round, first they flatly refused then they offered to discount the charge by 30%, then 50% but I stuck to my guns telling them it was never in any terms and conditions that they were authorized to charge my card for anything more then a $6.95 shipping charge and since they were refusing to refund the charges Discover will now handle it. When she heard that, she put me on hold for quite a while, when she came back on the line she said she was refunding the $95.95 for the ear pods, $6.95 shipping fee and closing out my subscription. Not only were they charging me for ear buds that I didn't purchase and shipping fees for merchandise that never arrived but it seems they were going to start charging for a subscription that I never signed up for. It appears this is just another group who takes advantage of those who don't have the time and/or patience to make all the calls, have the confidence to call them on bogus premises and go toe to toe with all the dishonest scammers trying to hustle honest folks out of their hard-earned dollars.

This also happened to me. And the fact is- the AirPods doesn’t work! My bank flagged it and I disputed the charges

Hate to say it but, MAYOPOT is still at it (as of July) -- with an attempted fraudulent charge of $95.95. Luckily my bank flagged & declined the transaction. Your writing has at least given me a context for how it happened (though my freebie never involved a 'shipping charge' so I never directly provided my card info).
