There was an advertisement on Facebook for a UK company going out of business and thus offered a sale on jewelry at a discount from MatildaMiloJewels.com. The jewelry was described in terms of genuine materials and stones, but the actual product delivered was as cheap as in a carnival machine. The address for returning the products is actually in China (not the UK, which is what I was led to believe was the location of the business).

I ordered four earring pairs and a ring from what was advertised as a "final sale" from MatildaMiloJewels.com, handmade jewelers going out of business. It appeared to be based out of the UK and handcrafted. What I received was very low quality, definitely not hand made, and gems that looked like those from a children's kit rather than a cabachon moonstone like the photos online listed. When requesting a refund, they require photos of poor quality and say they will send a replacement rather than refund. Highly disappointed!

Received cheap looking ring. No response to email contact. Found many poor reviews that I should have looked first.

- Newbury, MA, USA • Nov 20, 2025

I contacted them within 30 minutes to cancel the order. I sent emails showing they had received the email within 30 minutes but they claimed they did not receive it until much later but that I could return merchandise when it arrived. I contacted them about the return as soon as I received it but have not heard from them. The jewelry was not handmade, fake and cheap. It did not look like the photos.

They list their jewelry as hand made family business closing and running a sale. The photos are nice. The jewelry is cheap knockoffs, you get in on the street or in a mass produced Chinese factory. Hardly worth $1 each. They list full returns on the site and when I tried to return the jewelry unopened in their factory plastic bags, they offered me a 20% discount, then a 30% discount, then wouldn't answer with a return address. There is no way to contact aside from email. It is false advertising, a scam through and through.

Product is fake, cheap quality. Website depicted a 'going out of business' sale, identical items can be found on Amazon, etc. at a fraction of the cost, same exact images. Returns only go to China, other SCAM alerts for this address state items are refused upon delivery and sent back to consumer. Return address is used for multiple product items, not just jewelry. Seller wants you to keep it by offering 20%, 30% & 40% discount!

I made two orders after receiving an ad on Instagram for site by the name of Matilda and Milo. They’re advertising a closing of business and a massive sale on all their inventory. There’s no phone number on the website and I’m been seeing many similar ads on Instagram. I would like to report this as a scheme and ask for my money back.

There was an ad I saw on Facebook claiming they were going out of business. They claimed to be selling quality handmade jewelry made in the U.S. But when it arrived it was cheap plastic.
